Hell's Guardian are a band from Italy that plays a very epic and melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "Follow Your Fate".
The sounds of wind and fire start off the album along with acoustic guitars and melodic leads and after the intro the music gets more heavy and epic as well as incorporating great amounts of melody as well as mixing traditional and death metal together which also leads up to growls becoming a huge part of this recording.
When melodic vocals are utilized they seem to be more in tune with the modern melodic metal genres as well as having a pagan feeling to them and they also utilize high pitched screams which also bring an element of black metal into the music whole the main focus is on melodic death metal.
As the album progresses symphonic synths are added in briefly along with spoken word female parts as well a s the following track combining folk metal rhythm's along with a small amount of acoustic guitars into their melodic death metal sound which also combines both the Finnish and Swedish takes on the genres and towards the end melodic female vocals find their way onto a fe of the tracks and the folk music sound s are a huge factor of the last track.
Hell's Guardian create a very epic and melodic style of death metal with their music and sounding a bit different than most bands that play this style and adding in a more pagan feeling to t heir approach, the production sounds very professional and the lyrics cover fantasy themes.
In my opinion Hell's Guardian are a very great sounding melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "My Prophecy" "Cradle's Lake" "Neverland" and "Middle Earth". 8 out of 10.
