Anarcheon are a band from Vancouver B.C, Canada that plays a mixture of melodic death and modern thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 ep "Stratusfear".
Acoustic guitar playing starts off the ep while spoken word parts are also used briefly before going into more of a heavier musical direction along with the riffs also bring in great amount of melody as well as the brief use of wolves howling and vocals are mostly death metal style screams.
A great amount of modern thrash metal elements can be heard in the bands musical style while melodic guitar leads are also used quite a bit throughout the recording along with some clean vocals and growls also being utilized at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them as well as a brief use of spoken word parts and they close the ep with a metal cover of "Kiss A Girl".
Anarcheon plays a musical style that takes melodic death and modern thrash metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Anarcheon are a very great sounding mixture of melodic death and modern thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kill Milk (Calcium Stab)" and "Etherous Claw". 8 out of 10.
