Bloodshot Dawn are a band from the United Kingdom that has had an album reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a very technical and melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their album "Reanimation" which will be released in 2018 by Hostile Media.
Blast beats along with some mellodic yet technical guitar leads start off the album while the riffs also follow the same pattern while also taking it into more of a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly death metal growls and some of the riffing also adds in a more modern thrash style.
High pitched screams are also utilized at times while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and synths along with clean playing can also be heard briefly in certain sections of the recording and there is also a brief instrumental track.
On this recording Bloodshot Dawn goes for more of a technical and modern style of melodic death metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violence, war, death, science fiction and metaphysical themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Bloodshot Dawn and if you are a fan of melodic and technical death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seared Earth" "Upon The Throne Of Fear" "The Omniverse" and "Reanimated". 8 out of 10.
