Poland's Embrional have returned with a new recording which continues their brutal and technical form of death metal with some black metal influences and this is a review of their 2018 album "Cusp Of Evil" which was released by Old Temple.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the album before going into a heavier musical direction while the vocals are mostly death metal growls along with a few black metal screams as well as the music being very heavily rooted in the 90's and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very old school style while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some intros being used before every track and at times the music gets very technical and brutal but in more of a classic tradition and they also bring in an instrumental which also introduces clean playing onto the recording.
Embrional creates another recording that remains true to t heir 90's style of brutal and technical death metal with some black metal elements, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover the end of mankind themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Embrional and if you are a fan of brutal, old school and technical death metal with a touch of black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Tempter" "Cusp of Evil" and "Pure hate". 8 out of 10.
