Inisans are a band from Sweden that plays an old school form of death metal with a touch of black metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Transition" which was released by Blood Harvest Records.
A very fast sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats while the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies as well as the vocals being mostly deep death metal growls and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's era of the genre and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very chaotic style.
Elements of black metal can also be heard at times while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and faced parts along with the music also utilizing a great amount of primal aggression and raw energy as well as the solos and leads utilizing more melody as the album progresses and the music always remains very heavy.
Inisans plays a style of death metal that is very dark and old school in the early 90's tradition while also adding in a touch of black metal, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover darkness themes.
In my opinion Inisans are a very great sounding old school death metal band with a touch of black metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Tombstone" "Darkness Profound" and "Void Walker". 8 out of 10.
