Ossuary Insane where a band from Minnesota that played a traditional form of death metal with some black metal influences and this is a review of their 2018 compilation album "Decimation Of The Flesh" which was released by Blood Harvest Records.
A very heavy and brutal sound starts off the compilation along with some death metal growls while black metal screams are also utilized at times and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard as well as the riffs also utilizing dark sounding melodies at times.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while melodic chants can also be heard briefly on one of the tracks along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and when guitar leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic style as well as a couple of later tracks also bringing in horror movie samples and the music always remains very heavy.
Ossuary Insane played a style of death metal that was very dark for its time while also bringing in a touch of black metal, the production sounds very old school with a demo quality while the lyrics cover insanity and blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Ossuary Insane where a very great sounding death metal band with a touch of black metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this compilation. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Unfaithful" and "Blaspheme Unto Rebirth". 8 out of 10.
