Malignant Christ/Shrine Of The Dismemberment/Inverted Cross Records/2010 EP Review

This  is  a  review  of  an  ep  from  Malignant  Christ  a  band  that h as  their  music  reviewed  recently  in this  zine  with  their  musical s tyle  on  this  recording  being  dark  and  heavy  death  metal  with  a  blackened  edge  and  this  is  a  review  of t heir  2010  ep  "Shrine  Of  The  Dismemberment"  which  was released  by  Inverted  Cross  Records  during  the  year  of  2010.

Drums range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing h as  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  death  metal  riffs  that  are  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  with  some  black  metal  influences  being  thrown  into the  riffing ,  while  the lead  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  are  very  old  school  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals range  from  deep  death  metal  growls  to  high  pitched  screams  that h ave  a  black  metal feeling  to t hem,  as  well  as  some  samples,  while  the  lyrics  cover  occult,  blasphemous  and  gore  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  recording  from  Malignant  Christ  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of t his  band ,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Esoterica".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
