Suture are a band from Louisiana that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style that I would describe as being brutal gore/death metal and this is a review of their album "Carnivorous Urge To Kill" which was originally recorded in 2002 but re-recorded in 2013 and released by Comatose Music.
"Deconstructing Anatomy" begins with some sound effects and horror movies samples before going into blast beats, brutal guitar riffs and deep death metal growls and after awhile there is a brief use of guitar solos coming in and out as well as the music switching back and forth between slow and fast parts.
"Bone Saw" begins with some heavy guitar riffs which go into a faster direction along with some blast beats and growls which then takes the song into a slower direction and then t he song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts as w ell as bringing in some melodic guitar solos.
"Hemorrhage Head" begins with some heavy guitar riffs and drums which lead to some growls and screams along with some melodic guitar riffing before going faster and bringing in some blast beats and then making switches back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as bringing in guitar leads in certain parts of the song.
"Bloodsoaked" begins with some fast and heavy guitar riffs and drums before slowing down and adding in some powerful bass guitars and growls and towards the end the song starts speeding up in some parts.
"Masticated Recrudesce" begins with death metal vocals with lead to some brutal guitar riffs and drums and this is only a 1 minute song.
"Morbid Sculpture" begins with deep growls, heavy guitar riffs and drums that go into a fast direction and then slow down more to a mid paced sound but utilizing a variety of many different style death metal riffs and after awhile it goes into a faster direction along with some blast beats before slowing down again.
"Those Without Eyes" begins with some slow guitar riffs and drums while also adding some melody top the riffing and bringing in the growls and as the song moves on it starts speeding up in some parts as well as bringing in some melodic guitar solos and leads and the song closes with some dark sounding synths.
"Torn From Mortal Coil" begins with some heavy and technical death metal guitar riffs which lead to some blast beats and deep growls before going into a slow but heavy direction along with some melody in t he riffing which then leads to the song switching back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as bringing in some guitar solos and leads.
"Carninorma Contagion" begins with a sample going going into heavy guitar riffs, drums and growls which then take the music in a heavier direction along with some melody being thrown into the guitar riffs and after awhile t here is a brief use of guitar leads and blast beats.
"Still Inside'' begins with some heavy and melodic guitar riffs, death metal growls and blast beats which then leads to the song switching back and forth between slow, mid paced and fast parts and towards the end you can hear some powerful bass guitars.
"Systematic Removal Of Vitality" begins with some powerful bass guitars before going into brutal guitar riffs, blast beats and deep growls and as the song moves on their is a brief guitar lead that comes in and out before the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as bringing in a variety of many different death metal style guitar riffs, as the song moves in it goes more into noise sound effects and after a couple of minutes there are some spoken word samples and then t he song goes back.
"Lanatic Of Gods Creation" which is a Deicide cover starts with heavy guitar riffs, drums, growls and high pitched screams before getting faster with some blast beats and powerful bass guitars and then the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and aslo brings in a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
Song lyrics cover violent and gore themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy, brutal and professional sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Suture and if you are a fan of brutal gore/death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deconstructing Anatomy" "Bloodsoaked" "Morbid Sculpture" and "Still Inside". RECOMMENDED BUY.
