Corpsesex are a band from U.K that plays a very heavy and brutal form of gore/death metal with a grindcore edge and this is a review of their 2010 ep "My Dear Killer" which was released by Torn Flesh Records Net Label.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they sound very powerful sounding with some bass leads, as for the synths which are only utilized on the last song they bring the feeling of a horror film soundtrack to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast death metal riffs that are very heavy and brutal sounding with some grindcore riffs as well as some dark melodies along with some jazz style clean playing while the lead guitars are very brutal and technical sounding death metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls with some high pitched screams being thrown in at times along with some samples and spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover gore and horror themes, as for t he production it has a very strong, powerful and heavy sound to it.
In my opinion Corpsesex are a very great sounding brutal gore/death metal band with a grindcore edge and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Escape Of The Living Dead" and "Zombie Flesh Eaters". RECOMMENDED BUY.
