Illdisposed/Sense The Darkness/Massacre Records/2012 CD Review

Illdisposed  are  a  band  from  Denmark  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  that  started  out  as  a  death  metal  band  but  has  evolved  into  a  neo  thrash  metal  band  while  still  retaining  their  death  metal  roots over  the  years  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album   "Sense  The  Darkness"  which  was  released  by  Massacre  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  brief  use  of  blast  beats  which  are  only  utilized  briefly,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  melodic  death  metal  with  neo-thrash  metal  along  with  some  groove  elements  being  thrown  into  the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  melodic  sounding  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  range  from  deep  death  metal  growls,  high  pitched  screams  to  neo-thrash  style  growls  and  screams  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  spoken  word  samples,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent,  dark,  and  hateful  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  recording  from  Illdisposed  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  enjoy  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Sense  The  Darkness"  "Never  Compromise"  "I  Am  Possessed"  and  "She's  Undressed".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
