Eschaton are a band with members from both Connecticut and Massachusetts that plays a brutal mixture of technical death metal and deathcore and this is a review of their 2015 album "Sentinel Apocalypse" which will be released in May by Unique Leader Records.
Dark sound effects start off the album along with some distorted noises before going into more of a fast, brutal and technical death metal direction along with some growls, screams and blast beats and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and then songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
When solos and leads are utilized they are very melodic and chaotic sounding and at times the music can be very progressive while some of the vocals bring in elements of hardcore to the recording and spoken word samples can be heard in certain sections of the recording and the vocals can also be guttural at times and they also bring in a brief use of classical music before returning back to a more brutal direction.
Eschaton plays a style of death metal that is very technical and brutal and also mixes in a heavy dose of deathcore, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover violence and war themes.
In my opinion Eschaton are a very great sounding brutal mixture of technical death metal and deathcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Behold The Nexus" "Animus" "Intergalatic Annihilation" and "Cognitive hatred". 8 out of 10.
