Vasomortus are a band from Indonesia that plays a very brutal form of gore/death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Instrument Torture Of Pyramid" which was released by Brute! Productions.
A very fast and brutal death metal sound starts off the album along with some growling vocals and blast beats and they also bring in slam elements along with a small amount of melodic guitar riffing and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as mixing in both old school and modern influences.
You can hear quite a bit of the east coast and Southern California styles of U.S. death metal in the bands musical style and on some of the tracks the vocals can be very guttural at times and all of the songs ignore any use of solos and leads to focus more on a raw and brutal style of death metal and there are no soft or clean parts ever utilized on the recording and the last track also brings in a brief use of horror move samples.
Vasomortus plays a style of death metal that is very raw and brutal and also brings in a touch of slam to create some very heavy music, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics cover gore, hate, death and torture.
In my opinion Vasomortus are a very great sounding brutal gore/death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bestality" "Human" "Orgy" and "Torture". 8 out of 10.
