Circle of indifference are a solo project from Sweden that has been featured before in this zine and plays a melodic form of death metal with some session musicians and this is a review of his 2016 album "Welcome to War" which was released by Records Of Indifference.
A very heavy sound and spoken word parts start off the album along with some melodic guitar leads a few seconds later and after a few seconds synths and death metal growls make their presence known on the recording and you can also hear a great amount of melody in the guitar riffing and the synths also mix in prog elements.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great amount of modern metal elements and some of the songs bring in a small amount of melodic vocals while a later track brings in a small amount of acoustic guitars and electronic music elements and there is also a brief use of war samples and the songs stick to mostly a mid paced musical direction and a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Circle Of Indifference creates another recording that remains true to the melodic death metal sound that was established on the previous release, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violence and war themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Circle Of Indifference and if you are a fan of melodic death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "From This I Depart" "Welcome To War" and "Veil of Despair". 8 out of 10.
