Grausig are a band from Indonesia that plays a very brutal and technical form of death metal with a touch of black metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Di Belakang Garis Musah" which was released by Obscure Musick.
Horror movie soundtrack music starts off the album before going into more of a heavy and brutal direction which also introduces death metal growls onto the recording and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and high pitched screams are also utilized at times.
At times the riffs can be very technical as well as bringing in a decent amount of melody at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads also stick to a traditional death metal style and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and some of the riffs bring in a touch of blackened death metal and the album also remains very heavy and brutal from beginning to ending of the recording and there is also a brief bass guitar leads.
Grausig plays a style of death metal that is very brutal and technical while also having a slight blackened edge to them, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics a re written in a mixture of Indonesian and English and cover dark and blasphemous themes.
In my opinion Grausig are a very great sounding technical and brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Teokrasi Bisu" "Sampah Moralitas Dimensi" and "Doomsday". 8 out of 10.
