Science Of Sleep are a band from Germany that has been featured before in this zine and plays deathcore while also mixing in influences of black, death and dark metal on this recording and this is a review of their 2016 album "Hellmouth" which will be released in November by Bastardized Recordings.
A very distorted yet melodic guitar lead starts off the album along with some heavy riffs a few seconds later as well as some death metal growls and you can also hear a lot of metalcore elements on the recording along with the riffs also using a decent amount of melody and when t he music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
Throughout the recording t here is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and black metal screams can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and as the album progresses the music starts incorporating more elements of brutal death metal and spoken word parts can also be heard on some of the songs and clean guitars are used briefly on the last track.
Science Of Sleep creates another recording that remains true to the deathcore style of t heir previous releases while also mixing in more black, death and dark metal elements this time around, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover politics and social issue themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Science Of Sleep and if you are a fan of deathcore, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hellmouth" "Feed To Pigs" "Condemned To Burn" and "Todestreiben". 8 out of 10.
