Rithiya H. Khiev is a solo artist from Massachusetts that plays a progressive form of melodic death metal and this is a review of his self released 2017 ep "The Finite Cycle".
A very heavy and melodic sound starts off the ep along with some drum b eats and t he solos and leads are also very progressive while also utilizing a great amount of melody and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and some of the tracks a re instrumentals.
When vocals a re utilized they bring in a mixture of deep death metal growls and high pitched screams while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also has a great amount of both Swedish and Finnish influences and female vocals and symphonic elements are also used briefly along with some elements of the mid 80's Shrapnel style.
Rithiya H. Khiev plays musical style that takes melodic death metal, symphonic, prog and s hred and mixes them together to create a sound of his own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion Rithiya H. Khiev is a very great sounding progressive and melodic death metal solo artist and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Finite Cycle" and "For All Mankind". 8 out of 10.
