Led Astray are a band from Germany that plays a very modern and brutal form of death metal with a grindcore edge and this is a review of their 2012 album "Decades Of Addiction" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to t hem.
Rhythm guitars range from s low, mid paced to fast death metal riffs that are very modern day, heavy and brutal sounding with some grindcore influences being thrown into the riffing as well as some melodic parts and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the synths they are only utilized briefly on a couple of songs and bring a depressive sound to the music.
Vocals r ange from deep death metal growls to high pitched screams as well as some samples, spoken word parts and background gang shout vocals in addition there is a brief use of clean singing female vocals, while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Led Astray are a very great sounding heavy and brutal modern death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE :Demon" "Rise Of An Angel" "Black Blood" and "Decayed privacy". RECOMMENDED BUY.
