Feral Disfigurement are a band from Arizona that plays a mixture of slam death metal and gore grind with elements of drum & bass and hip hop and this is a review of their self released 2012 demo "Hoboken Doken".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars, as for the sound effects when they are utilized they bring elements of drum & bass to the demo.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast slam death metal riffs that are very heavy and brutal sounding with some gore grind and deathcore influences being thrown into the riffing at times and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use full chords to bring a folk music to the recording.
Vocals are mostly deep guttural death metal growls with some deathcore style pig squeels and spoken word samples as well as a brief use of humorous clean singing and rapping, while the lyrics cover violent, demented, perverted and gore themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and brutal sound for being a self released recording.
In my opinion Feral Disgirement are a very great sounding hybrid of slam death metal, d eathcore and gore grind with elements of folk, hip hop and drum & bass and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bone Crushing Skull Fucking" "Mosh For Zombies" and "Blender Blowjob". RECOMMENDED BUY.
