Darkane are a b and from Sweden that has been around for a long time with a musical style that mixes melodic death metal with thrash and this is a review of their 2013 album "The Sinister Supremacy" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the synths which are only used briefly on the recording bring a very epic sound to the album, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine melodic death metal with thrash and groove metal together to create a sound of their own as well as a brief use of clean playing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding death metal guitar solos and leads that utilize some traditional metal influences.
Vocals are mostly death/thrash/groove metal style shouts and growls along with a good amount of clean singing as well as a great amount of thrash style vocals, while the lyrics cover violent and hateful themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Darkane and if you are a fan of this band, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Sinister Supremacy" "The Decline" "Humanity Defined" and "I Author Of Despair". RECOMMENDED BUY.
