Panzerchrist/The 7th Offensive/Listenable Records/2013 CD Review

Panzerchrist  are  a  band  from  Denmark  which  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  musical  style  I  would  describe  as  being  a  very  heavy  and  melodic  death  metal  with  some  black  metal  influences  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "the  7th  Offensive"  which  was  released  by  Listenable  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  death  metal  riffs  that  are  very  heavy  and  melodic  sounding  with  some  black  metal  influences  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  at  times,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  melodic,  evil  and  technical  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  all  deep  guttural  death  metal  growls  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  samples  and  high  pitched  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violence,  darkness,  satanic,  and  evil  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Panzerchrist  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  check  out t his  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Foreign  Fields"  "Stronghold  Of  Hill  666"  "Kill  For  Revenge"  and  "Napalm  Alarm".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
