Extremity are a band from San Francisco, California that
consists of plenty of veterans of the bay Area underground
metal zine and plays a mixture of old school death metal, and grindcore and this is a review of their 2017
album "Extremely Fucking Dead" which will be released in April
by 20 Buck Spin.
Horror movie samples start off the album before going into a very fast death metal direction along with a great amount of blast beats and growling vocals and after awhile high pitched screams and melodic guitar leads are added onto the recording and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while some riffs also add in old school grindcore influences and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording and one of the tracks is very long and epic in length while also adding in a brief use of keyboards and classical guitars before returning back to a heavier direction.
Extremity plays a style of death metal that is very heavily rooted in the 90's while also mixing in elements of grindcore, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover gore and horror themes.
In my opinion Extremity are a very great sounding old school mixture of death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bestial Destiny" and "Extremely Fucking Dead". 8 out of 10.
