Abrasive are a band from Germany that plays a very brutal form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Book Of Sin" which was released by Rebirth The Metal Productions.
A very heavy and brutal sound starts off the album along with some guttural death metal growls a few seconds alter while high pitched screams are also used at times and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and the music also mixes in some of the more brutal 90's influences while s till sounding modern.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while a small amount of melody can also be heard in the guitar riffing and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark and melodic fashion and there is also a brief use of horror movie samples and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and a brief use of clean playing can also be heard underneath the brutality and there is also a few seconds of keyboards.
Abrasive plays a musical style that takes the old school and brutal genres of death metal and mixes them together to create something very heavy, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover erotic fantasies and human sexuality themes.
In my opinion Abrasive are a very great sounding brutal death metal band and if you a re a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Stigmatized" "Unspoken" "World Of Terror" and "Waves Of Lust". 8 out of 10.
