Haemorrhage are a band from Spain that has been around for more than 25 years and plays a brutal form of gore/grind and this is a review of their 2017 album "We Are The Gore" which will be released in October by Relapse Records.
Heavy guitar riffs and spoken word samples start off the album along with some melodic guitar leads also being utilized at times and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and grindcore elements can be heard along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and high pitched screams while the music keeps the style that was established in the early 90's along with the tracks also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads are also done in a very dark yet melodic fashion, on some of the tracks the riffing also brings in a small amount of melody and most of the tracks are very short in length and the music always remains heavy and brutal.
Haemorrhage remains true to the gore/grind style that they h ave been playing for more than 20 years, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover gore and surgery themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Haemorrhage and if you are a fan of gore/grind, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Gore Gormet" "Bathed In Bile" "Medical Maniacs" and "Organ Trader". 8 out of 10.
