Nihil Eyes are a band from The United Kingdom that plays an old school mixture of death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their self released 2017 album "Black Path" which will be released in October.
A very heavy sound starts off the album along with some dark sounding melodies a few seconds later while the solos and leads also use a great amount of melody as well as the music being very heavily rooted in the early 90's and after awhile death metal growls and screams make their presence known.
Spoken word parts can also be heard in certain sections of the recording while the faster sections of the songs bring in a great amount of blast beats and grindcore elements along with a couple of tracks bringing in a brief use of flies and spoken word samples samples and throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, one track also introduces clean playing onto the recording.
Nihil Eyes plays a musical style that goes back to the early 90's era of United Kingdom death metal and grindcore, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cove r political themes.
In my opinion Nihil Eyes are a very great sounding old school mixture of death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Nihil Eyes" "As The Water Falls" "True Nihilist" and "Manifesto". 8 out of 10.
