The Walking Dead Orchestra are a band from France that plays a mixture of death metal and deathcore and this is a review of their 2017 album "Resurrect" which will be released in October by Unique Leader Records.
A very sci-fi orientated intro starts off the album before going into more of a heavy and brutal musical direction while the vocals are mostly death metal growls as well as some angry screams along with the faster sections of the songs also use a great amount of blast beats and the solos and leads bring in more of a melodic style.
A decent amount of melody can also be heard in the guitar riffing while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the vocals also getting very guttural at times and the mid tempo sections of the songs also mix in deathcore style breakdowns and one of the later tracks is all instrumental while a later song also adds in a small amount of clean playing.
The Walking Dead Orchestra plays a musical style that takes brutal death metal and deathcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover post apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion The Walking Dead Orchestra are a very great sounding brutal mixture of death metal and deathcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Resurrect The Scourge" "Area Of Desolation" "Necrosphere" and "Devastate". 8 out of 10.
