Idols For Dinner are a band from France that plays a very heavy and melodic form of deathcore and this is a review of their 2012 album "Tenant Of A Declining World" which was released by M & O Music.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast deathcore riffs that are very heavy and brutal sounding with a good amount of melody and technical parts being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars which are only utilized briefly are very melodic sounding guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars which are only used on the instrumental they use finger picking to bring some darkness to the music.
Vocals range from deep deathcore growls to high pitched screams as well as a brief use of pig squeels, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Idols For Dinner are a very great sounding heavy, brutal and melodic sounding deathcore band and if you are a fan of this musical style, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Legally Instituted Murder" "Scarlet" and "Mask Of Sorrow". RECOMMENDED BUY.
