Burn Down Eden are a band from Germany that plays a very melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Ruins Of Oblivion" which will be released in 2017 by Sliptrick Records.
Death metal growls and high pitched screams start off the album along with both the riffs and leads being very melodic while also being heavy at the same time and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and the music is very heavily rooted in the Swedish tradition of the genre.
Throughout the recording you can heart a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the solos and leads also mix in elements of classic melodic metal while the music also gets very technical at times and clean playing along with a brief use of classical guitars can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and there is also an instrumental that introduces stringed instruments onto the recording before closing the album with a heavy track.
Burn Down Eden plays a style of melodic death metal that can also be very heavy and technical at times, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark, philosophical and scientific themes.
In my opinion Burn Down Eden are a very great sounding melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Serpent's Deception" "Kronossphere" "I Dooms Visage" and "Cosmogyral Miscarriage". 8 out of 10.
