Deals Death are a band from Gothenburg, Sweden that plays a very melodic and symphonic form of death metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "Point Zero Solution" which was released as a joint effort between Spinefarm and Universal Music.
"Point Zero Solution" begins with some dark synth playing and Gregorian chants before the drums and heavy guitar riffs kick in while keeping the symphonic elements and adding in spoken word samples which sets up the pace for the screams and growls along with a melodic guitar lead making its way in the song as well as some melody in the rhythm sections.
"Facing The Echoes" starts off with some symphonic, industrial style synth with the drum beats and heavy guitar riffs making their way in shortly after t hat which sets up the paced for the screams and growls which leads to the melodic guitar leads mixing with the rhythm sections and the synths remain powerful throughout the song
"Escalation" begins with some melodic guitar riffs before the drums kick in and the music gets heavier while keeping the melody and adding in the screams and synths before going into a faster direction while also slowing down at times but staying heavy as well as mixing in brief spoken word samples and death metal growls, as the song moves on modern metal elements make their way into the riffing as well as some melodic guitar solos which combine with the rhythm sections.
"Flatline' starts off with high pitched death metal screams before going into powerful drums and fast guitar riffs while also adding in deep growls before the synths start mixing with the guitars and the music slows down to a slower and heavier pace while also going back to the fast parts at times as the song moves on thrash elements and melodic guitar leads make their presence known in the song as well as some spoken word parts.
"Passion For Infinity" starts off with symphonic synths before the drums and heavy riffs come in and combine with the symphonic elements which sets up the pace for the heavy bass lines and screams as the song moves on melodic guitar solos start making their presence known and mix with the heavy and symphonic elements.
"The Seperation" starts off with melodic leads, drum beats, and heavy guitar riffing which starts mixing in with the symphonic parts whixh also sets up the pace for the screams and growls after a couple of minutes the music gets soft for a few seconds with a melodic guitar solo along with the heavier parts returning with the screams.
"Paramount Activity" starts off with a semi blast beat, fast death/thrash style guitar riffing before slowing down to a slow and heavy pace while also mixing in screams and synths, melodic guitar solos as well as switching back and forth between the slow and fast parts while also mixing in growls along with some industrial elements, as the song moves on powerful bass playing makes it way in the song while also keeping the leads and rhythm's .
"Beyond Reason" starts off with a heavy guitar riffing before speeding up with some blast beats which sets up the pace for the screams, growls, synths and melodic guitar leads which lead the song going into a slower and heavier pace while still reverting back to the faster parts at times as well as mixing in melody in the rhythm's.
'Dark Dream Dawn" starts off with dark sounding synths before the drum beats and heavy guitar riffs come in moving moving into a faster direction and introducing the screams and melodic parts and the song switches back and forth to the slow and fast parts while also mixing in death metal growls and as the song moves in melodic guitar solos make their presence known while also mixing in with the rhythm sections.
"Back To Consciouness" starts off with some heavy thrash style riffing, powerful drumming before mixing in with the symphonic parts and introducing the screams and growls as well as mixing in back up shouts as well as switching back and forth between slow and heavy parts, as the song moves on a melodic guitar solos comes in for a few seconds before reverting back to the rhythm sections.
"Author Of Arts" starts off with some heavy and fast death/thrash riffs and powerful drumming before slowing down and adding in the screams, synths and melodic guitar leads as well as switching back and forth between the symphonic, slow and fast parts throughout the song while also bringing back the guitar leads at times
Song lyrics cover the systems of nature and society, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound.
In my opinion Deals Death are a very great sounding symphonic and melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Point Zero Solution" "Flatline" "Dark Dream Dawn" and "Author Of Arts". RECOMMENDED BUY.
