Fight The Demiurge are a 1 woman band from Pennsylvania that plays a brutal and slamming form of death metal and this is a review of her self released 2012 demo "Mandated".
Drums and slow death metal riffs start off the demo along with some powerful and technical sounding bass guitars and the music starts adding in slam elements after a few seconds and on the second track growls are finally added into the music while the follow track sees the music going into a faster and brutal direction.
Blast beats enhance the brutality of the music and there are also a good amount of slow, mid paced and fast parts on the remaining tracks and the music has a more raw approach to slam and brutal death metal and after awhile high pitched screams start finding their way into the music.
Fight The Demiurge plays slam and brutal death metal in a more raw direction while having a very dark feeling in the music, the production sounds very raw while the lyrics cover the conditions found in farm factories.
In my opinion Fight The Demiurge are a very great sounding raw, slamming and brutal death metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "In The Slaughterhouse" and "Castrate The Newborn". 8 out of 10.
