Reciprocal are a band from California that plays a very brutal and technical form of death metal with a touch of grind and this is a review of their 2014 album "New Order Of The Ages" which was released by Lacerated Enemy Records.
Dark sounding keyboards and war samples which are also utilized throughout the recording start off the album before going into a more heavy, brutal and adding technical direction along with blast beats as well as a mixture of growls and screams and you can also hear a decent amount of melody being utilized in the bands musical style.
All of the musical instruments on the album have a very powerful sound to them and the guitar solos that they use are in a more melodic and technical direction and the band also uses a good a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts throughout the recording an d you can hear some jazz influences in the guitar riffing and leads on some of the later tracks.
There is a good mixture of clean and heavy parts on a good amount of the songs along with some of them being very long and epic in length and later on a brief use of acoustic guitars are added onto one of the tracks and they also have some fast riffing that brings a small amount of black metal into their technical death metal sound and the last song on the album brings in a small amount of piano's as well as being all instrumental.
Reciprocal plays a very original, brutal and melodic style of death metal that also shows a great amount of talent and skill with the musical instruments, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover war, political, occult, conspiracy theories, New World Order, Illuminati and Secret Societies themes.
In my opinion Reciprocal are a very great sounding technical, melodic and brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "New American Century" "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" "Illuminati" and "Oblivion". 8/5 out of 10.
