Deivos are a band from Poland that plays a very brutal and technical form of death metal with a touch of grindcore and this is a review of their 2015 album "Theodicy" which will be released in February by Selfmadegod Records.
Sound effects start off the album which leads up to a very technical death metal sound which also brings in a great amount of solos and leads that are also used throughout the recording along with some growling vocals and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound and after awhile the music starts adding in more fast and brutal parts along with a great amount of blast beats.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some slam elements along with most of the tracks being very long and epic in length and the sound effects that where also present during the beginning also make a return in certain sections of the recording and all of the tracks demonstrate a great amount of talent and skill being mixed in with the brutality.
Deivos plays a style of death metal that is very brutal and technical sounding they mix in a touch of slam and grind to create a very heavy sounding recording, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover suffering, death and anti religion themes.
In my opinion Deivos are a very great sounding technical and brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "El Shaddai" and "Parasite". 8 out of 10.
