Insepulto are a band from Costa Rica that plays a very old school form of death metal along with a touch of melodic blackened death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "The Necrodex" which was released by Memento Mori.
Thunder sounds and demonic operatic chants start off the album along with some spoken word samples and after the intro the music starts going for a very dark yet heavy old school death metal sound along with some melodic guitar leads that are also a very huge part of the recording and after awhile high pitched screams and deep growls become a huge part of t he recording.
Blast beats can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording along with the riffs utilizing a great amount of melody and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the screams also have a tinge of black metal to them and as the album progresses a few tracks that are long and epic in length are added onto the recording and at times the riffs also bring in elements of thrash metal along with all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Insepulto plays a style of death metal that is very old school in the 90's tradition while also being very melodic at times and adding in a touch of black metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover death themes.
In my opinion Insepulto are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Return Of The Impious" "Apocalyptic Godless Intervention" "The Chaos The Ancients Spoke Of" and "Odor Mortis". 8 out of 10.
