Core Of Desolation are a band from Texas that plays a brutal and slamming form of technical death metal with elements of black metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "The Return Of Deaths Glorious Design" which was released by Senseless Life Records.
Sound effects start off the album along with some guitar leads and heavy riffs and a few seconds later death metal growls are added into the music and the music starts to speed up shortly after that along with some blast beats and in some of the slower parts you can hear some clean playing being mixed in with the heavier parts.
High pitched screams are added into certain sections of the recording along with the solos adding more melodic and old school death metal elements into the music and on some of the other t racks spoken word samples are added in and the band also has a more raw approach to technical death metal and they also b ring in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
As the album progresses the band start mixing in black metal influences in with their melodic and brutal death metal sound along with elements of thrash and the band also makes almost every song sound different from each other and on some of the tracks you can also hear a small amount of synths and atmospheric sounds and on of the alter tracks utilizes a small amount of classical guitars.
Core Of Desolation seem to be influenced by all styles of death metal with their music with their style combing brutal, old school, slam, melodic and technical death metal together along with elements of grind, thrash and black metal as well as having a raw approach to their technical parts, the production sounds very raw, heavy and powerful while the lyrics cover gore, horror and violent themes.
In my opinion Core Of Desolation are a very great sounding brutal, slam technical death metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Haunt Of hear" "The Slaughtered Lamb" "Army Of the Dead" and "Fields Of Gore". 8 out of 10.
Thank you! \m/
