1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
The band was formed by Francesco Pasinato (guitar), Leonardo Pasqualetto (bass), Leonardo Doro (guitar) and Roberto Bindi (vocals) in 2011, near Venice. We began to create our first songs like any other garage band, and the following September we decided to show them to an audience. We continued to play gigs around our area, and then, after the departure of our ex-drummer, began recording our first EP. We were mostly inspired by the Gothenburg melodic sound, so we definitely chose this musical path. Our new drummer Matteo Rizzo joined shortly after, closing the line-up.
2.Recently you have released a new ep, can you tell us a little bit more about your musical sound?
Our sound is resulting from a mix of the different influences of Storm Cry's members, but we are basically inspired by the Gothenburg sound, with a bit modern
Death touch. And a deeeper use of melodies as well as classical death and "core" riffs (modern metalcore as an example).
3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores?
In our songs we want to underline the inner feelings that rise in a human mind facing what is unknown. Fear, hate, madness, everything which is the result of
a mind fallen in something more oniric then reality. Even the reality itself is something built and driven by something that the individual consciousness ignores. And that leads to a sort of analytic state of mind where the subject
discovers his depths.
4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Storm Cry'?
Basically, we chose Storm Cry as it concerns what we want to talk about and describes accurately the kind of music we play:
- ''Storm'' stands for the metal genre and also for the chaotic subconscious, the focus of our music style and song texts.
- ''Cry'' explains the melodic path that affects our metal style through the variety of feelings bursted out from the subconscious analysis.
5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?
Over 2 years we mainly focused on defining our music style, but we played around 10 gigs approximately in our area. We think one of the best shows was the first.
None of us had no idea of what it was playing with an audience, so it was pretty funny for all of us. Of course this repeated with the first show after the web-releaseof ''Beginning Of Darkness'' EP in Trento, that was our new drummer Matteo's first time, exciting as well.
6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
We manage to play gigs around Venice and Padova. One of our purposes is of course to build ourselves a name here, and after that, well, who knows... We will work on our first full lenght for sure, and hope for the best to come.
7.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?
We just popped out of nothing the last February and played only 2 shows by the time, so it is pretty normal that we did not receive so much interest from anyone.
About the label, well, yes, we can say that if someone will put eyes on us, we will be enthusiast.
8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of melodic death metal?
Fans that listened to our music luckily liked it, even new ones we are currently try to reach out for. Many reviews also recognised the Gothenburg style influences. That was our aim with ''Beginning Of Darkness''.
9.Are any of the band members involved with any other musical projects these days?
Yes, Leonardo Pasqualetto plays bass also for Necrosy, a death metal band from the Padova area (Italy).
10.When can we expect a full length album, and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
We are constantly working on new material, but it's difficult to say when and how will our first full lenght come out from being a mere idea.
The only thing we are sure about now is that there will definitely be a full lenght. Maybe next year, maybe in two years, we do not know yet. Future? As we said before, we hope for the best to come.
And we like dreaming.
11.What are some bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Roberto likes Dark Tranquillity, Leonardo Pasqualetto likes The Ocean and Dream Theater and Leonardo Doro mainly likes Insomnium and some power metal band like Edguy. However our common likes and influences are Amon Amarth and Dark
Tranquillity.

gym as well.
