Invert The Idols are a band from Georgia that plays a mixture of brutal death metal and deathcore and this is a review of their 2014 ep "Manufactured Apocalypse" which was released be Senseless Life Records.
Sound effects start off the ep and bring in a touch of darkness along with some spoken word samples and after the intro the music starts going for a more slam style of death metal along with some growls as well as speeding up at time s and bringing in blast beats and high pitched screams which makes the music sound more brutal.
The band brings in a great amount of deathcore breakdowns along with small amounts of melody and they also bring in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the band never uses any solos or leads and the music is heavily rooted in the east coast death metal tradition.
Invert The Idols are an average band not doing anything new or original but they are very good at their simple approach to mixing death metal and deathcore together, t he production is very powerful sounding and the lyrics cover violent and gore themes.
In my opinion Invert The Idols are a very decent sounding mixture of brutal death metal and deathcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Force Fed" and "Disembowel The Deviant". 7 out of 10.
