Breathless are a band from Spain that plays a mixture of thrash and melodic death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Return To Pangea" which was released by Xtreem Music.
A dark sounding synth starts off the album and after the intro the music starts going for more of a heavy and melodic old school thrash metal sound along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful and the screams that the band uses give the music more of an early death metal edge while the music has more of a modern production.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when solos and leads are added into the music they remain true to an old school thrash metal direction and after awhile growls can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with some of the tracks also bringing in elements of 90's melodic death metal and a few of the later tracks also being in a small amount of clean playing.
Breatless plays a very extreme and melodic style of thrash metal that also brings in a touch of melodic death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion Breathless are a very great sounding mixture of thrash and melodic death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Killing-sophy" "Return To Pangea" "Masterade" and "Spinning Metal". 8 out of 10.
