Mordenial are a band from Sweden that plays a melodic style of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Where The Angels Fall" which will be released in April by Vic Records.
Melodic guitar leads which are also used quite a bit throughout the recording start off the album along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody while the vocals are high pitched death metal screams and the songs stick to mostly a mid paced direction while some fast parts are used at times.
At times you can hear a great amount of thrash and traditional metal in the bands musical style while there approach to melodic death metal seems to be more closer to the 90's era of this genre and the solos and leads also demonstrate a great amount of talent and skill and all of the songs stick to a heavy direction from beginning to end of the recording except for the last track where they bring in a brief use of acoustic guitars.
Mordenial plays a style of melodic death metal that is very heavily rooted in the 90's and also mixes in a great amount of thrash influences and talented guitar leads, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Mordenial are a very great sounding melodic death/thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Where the Angels Fall" "Time To Justify" "Death Will Follow" and "Warfare And Destruction". 8 out of 10.
