Sinners Moon are a band from Slovakia that plays a symphonic mixture of melodic death and power metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Atlantis" which will be released in April by Inverse Records.
A very symphonic sound starts off the album and after a minute the music starts mixing in a heavier sound with the symphonic elements along with some operatic female vocals and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to t hem along with some growls and screams that add in a death metal influence to the bands musical style.
When solos and leads are added into the music they are in a melodic direction and some of the songs bring in a small amount of spoken word parts and a great amount of the riffs also add in elements of traditional metal and as the album progresses clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with a few power ballads and one of the later tracks also bring s in a member of Sonata Arctica and some of the later songs incorporate more blast beats during the more death metal influenced parts and a few of the tracks are long and epic in length.
Sinners Moon takes a very symphonic and progressive style of power metal and mixes it in with the heaviness of melodic death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and mythology themes.
In my opinion Sinners Moon are a very great sounding symphonic mixture of power metal and melodic death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Inner Demons" "Pray For the Child" "Dark Episode" and "Upon A Star". 8 out of 10.
