Fall are a band from Texas that plays a progressive and melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their self released album "The Insatiable Weakness" which will be released in 2016.
A very heavy and melodic sound starts off the album along with some blast beats and atmospheric keyboards as well as some death metal growls and clean singing vocals and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also mixes in a modern prog metal sound.
When lead guitars are utilized they are very melodic sounding and high pitched screams and some songs also bring in female vocals and the songs also alternate between both clean and heavy parts and some songs are long and epic in length and the music also has its symphonic and brutal moments while also being very modern.
Fall plays a style of melodic death metal that is very modern and atmospheric while also mixing in a great amount of prog metal elements to create a style of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion Fall are a very great sounding melodic and progressive death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Not Of The Sky" "Desolation" "Empty" and "You Where But A Shade". 8 out of 10.
