Pronostic are a band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada that plays a very melodic and technical form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2015 album "An Atomic Decision".
An atmospheric and epic sounding synth intro starts off the album and after the intro the music goes into more of a heavier, brutal, technical and melodic death metal direction while also adding in death metal growls and high pitched screams as well as a great amount of blast beats and the music also brings in elements of prog metal.
All of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads are also very technical and melodic sounding and when clean playing is utilized it gives the music more of a progressive feeling and they also bring in a brief instrumental before returning back to vocal tracks.
Pronostic plays a style of death metal that is very melodic, technical and progressive sounding, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark and real life themes.
In my opinion Pronostic are a very great sounding melodic, technical and progressive death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out the album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "An Atomic Decision" "Tormented Soul" "What Plagues Us" and "Passing Towards The Afterlife". 8 out of 10.
