SamadhiSitaram are a band from Russia that plays a mixture of djent, groovecore, mathcore, deathcore, and progressive metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Kali Yuga BABALON" which was released by Sliptrick Records.
A stringed instrument and symphonic sounding intro starts off the album and they also mix in with the heavier riffs which also mix in elements of djent while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic and progressive fashion and after awhile growling vocals and blast beats are added into the music.
Hardcore style back up shouts and high pitched screams are also used at times and the songs also mix in elements of metalcore and groove metal and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them while some of t he riffs also add in a small amount of melody and clean guitars can also be heard briefly and one of the tracks is very long and epic in length and Indian style folk instruments are also used at times.
SamadhiSitaram plays a musical style that takes djent, groovecore, mathcore, deathcore, and progressive metal and mixes them together to created something original and while this is not a style I would regularly listen to, I feel the band is very good at what they do, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover moral, ethnic and spiritual decay themes with some Hindu and Qabalistic touches.
In my opinion SamadhiSitaram are a very decent sounding mixture of djent, groovecore, mathcore, deathcore, and progressive metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kali Yuga" "Qliphoth" and "Shangri LA". 7 out of 10.
