The Shadeless Emperor are a band from Greece that plays a very epic and melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Ashbled Shores" which will be released in August by WormHoleDeath Records.
Water sounds and acoustic guitars start off the album along with some spoken word parts a few seconds later before going into a very fast and melodic musical direction that also uses a great amount of blast beats while t he vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and high pitched screams.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic fashion and acoustic guitars are also used on some of the later tracks along with a brief use of folk instruments and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and melodic singing along with synths are also used briefly and one track is all instrumental and a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
The Shadeless Emperor plays a style of melodic death metal that is very epic and also adds in folk elements to stand out a bit more, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Fantasy, Literature, Mythology and Philosophy themes.
In my opinion The Shadeless Emperor are a very great sounding epic and melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ashbled Shores" "Shades Over The Empire" Helios The Dark" and "An Ember Gale". 8 out of 10.
