K.A.S.K/Brutal Abstraction/2011 E.P Review
K.A.S.K are a band from Poland that plays a brutal mixture of death metal and deathcore and this is a review of their self released 2011 EP "Brutal Abstraction".
Drums range from slow, midpaced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast riffs that combine technical death metal and deathcore together with some dark sounding melodies being utilized at times in addition there is some slow and soft playing being used on the outro and there are little to no lead guitars or solos present on the recording.
Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls with some shouting being thrown in at times, while the lyrics touch on hateful and everyday themes, as for the production it sounds very powerful and heavy for being self released.
In my opinion K.A.S.K are a very good deathcore band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Empty Thoughts" and "Falsephobia". RECEMMONDED BUY.
