Quest Of Aidance/Dark Are The Skies At Hand/Pulverised Records/2010 CD Review

Quest Of Aidance are a band Sweden that mixes grindcore with death metal and some symphonic elements and this is a review of their 2010 album "Dark Are The Skies At Hand" which was released by Pulverised Records.

Drums are very fast with alot of brutal blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing is all rhythm bass that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars and there are also some atmospheric elements being used on and off throughout this album and on one song there are some keyboards that sound very symphonic.

Rhythm guitars are mostly fast grindcore riffs that are heavily influenced by death metal and the lead guitars are melodic sounding guitar solos which is something that is very original for a grindcore band to have.

Vocals are deep death metal growls with some high pitched grindcore screams being thrown in alot of times, while the lyrics are based on the Predator films, as for the production it sounds very brutal and professional and all of the musical instruments have a good sound to them.

In my qpinion Quest Of Aidence are a very good band with an original form of grindcore and if you are looking for something new and original with that genre of music you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Distant World Arrival" "Sirian Breed" and "Yeild". RECOMMENDED BUY.
