Exterminio are a band from Argentina that plays a very brutal form of gore/death metal and this is a review of their 2007 album "Homicide In The First Degree" which was re-issued in 2014 by Rebirth The Metal Productions.
War samples and demonic vocals start off the album and after the intro the music stats going into a heavy and fast direction along with some blast beats and death metal growls while some of the riffs also bring in a small amount of morbid sounding melodies and you can also hear a lot of 90's influences in the bands musical style.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the high pitched screams almost have a grindcore tone to them and when the songs go into a faster direction they also bring in a great amount of brutality and when guitar leads are utilized they bring in more of a melodic side to the bands musical style and one of the later tracks also brings in a small amount of clean playing while movie samples can also be heard before some of the songs and some of the riffs also bring in a touch of thrash.
Exterminio plays a style of death metal on this recording that is in between both the old school and modern styles of the genre, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover corpses, gore and nuclear war themes.
In my opinion Exteminio are a very great sounding brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sentenced To The Eternal Silence" "Bloody Death" "Slow Dismemberment" and "mangled And Disembodied". 8 out of 10.
