The Devils Of Loudun are a band fro Seattle, Washington that plays a symphonic, melodic and technical form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2016 ep "Enduring Oblivion".
A very heavy, melodic and symphonic sound starts off the ep along with some blast beats and a great mixture of both death metal growls and high pitched screams and the guitar solos and leads bring in even more of a technical feeling to the bands musical style and the music is mostly rooted in the European style.
At time s the vocals get very guttural which also adds more of an American touch of death metal to t he bands musical style and throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording and as the ep progresses a brief use of classical guitars can be heard before returning back to a heavier musical direction and the last track is very long and epic in length.
The Devils Of Loudun plays a musical style that takes the melodic, technical and symphonic sides of the death metal genre and mixes them together to create a musical style of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover fantasy, science fiction, horror and video games themes.
In my opinion The Devils Of Loudun are a very great sounding technical, melodic and symphonic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cast The Stone" and "Until The Night Ends". 8 out of 10.
