Chine are a band from Sweden that plays a very melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2016 album "Immanent".
Dark sounding synths start off the album along with some melodic riffing making its presence known a few seconds later which also leads up to a heavier musical direction along with some screaming and growling vocals and the solos and leads also stick to a very melodic style of death metal and the music also sounds very modern.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and there is also a brief use of spoken word parts and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard and clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording along with some classical guitars being utilized briefly while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the last track is very long and epic in length.
Chine plays a style of melodic death metal is more more closer to the modern day form of the genre, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dystopian themes.
In my opinion Chine are a very great sounding melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Floating" "I Forgive You" and "Immanent". 8 out of 10.
