1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
- Tech, speed and brutality loving three piece from Berlin, Germany.
2.So far you have released an ep and a demo, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on both of the recordings and also how do they differ from each other?
- We try to develop our own style since the very beginning of Krylithsic. The EP “Leech Of The Parasite” already gathers all the elements that are typical for our sound, like complex rhythm pattern, long instrumental parts and some odd vocal pattern. While the songwriting on “Leech…” is very straight and guitar orientated “Beast Of The Northern Hemisphere” is more varied and pushes everything one-step further to evolve our style. The new songs are faster and more complex by enhancing the old trend marks. The “over all sound” also changed to a more “modern” type of metal. This has a lot to do with the much better production we got this time!
3.The band has been around since 2009 but so far have only put out 2 releases, can you tell us a little bit more about the gaps in between recordings?
- It’s the same old shit, so we just can give you the same lame ass answer as everybody: work, family, money.
4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
- Brutal, violent and self-destructive behavior of the human race.
5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Krylithsic'?
- The letters C,H,I,I, (the II could also be interpreted as “2”) K,L,R,S,T and Y are connections to several murders in German. The murders were committed in the 80s. The case was never resolved. There is no evidence available how the letters relate and what they meant, relating to the murders .The Word “Krylithsic” is our interpretation of how the letters could have been brought to a sequence. The whole EP deals with this shit.
6.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
- We just try to hit the place as hard as we fuckin’ can, you know? That’s what Death Metal is all about. For us the best shows are the really small “Sweat-from-the-ceiling”-Gigs and of course underground festivals like the Fuck the Commerce.
7.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
- We are currently lining up a little tour. We hope everything comes together as planned.
8.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?
- Yes, we are looking for a label! So hit us up!
9.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of technical and brutal death metal?
- We received really good feedback for “Beast…”! The reactions have shown that we are more on the brutal site of Death Metal. Fans of Technical Death Metal don´t seam to be very impressed by our “technicallyness”… Its possibly ‘cause of the leak of flashy sweeps and two-hand-tappings. To be honest I prefer to be on the Disgorge-Site rather than on the Obscura-Site.
10.When can we expect a full length album and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
- Writing new song is our main focus at the moment! We want to do a Full Length as fast as possible - hopefully with a label in our back.
The new material is the logical continuation of what you hear on “Beast…”. So stay tuned, Mother sickers
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
- Oh we don’t know, its all kinds of shit, we can´t even start to think about it. Everybody in the band got their own influences. But we got one thing in common, we like to hear twisted shit.
12.What are some of your non musical interests?
- Wrapping ourselves in bubble wrap … aaaaaaaand alcohol, …but mainly the bubble wrap thing.
13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
BUY! OUR! SHIT! – Just kidding, you can download the Promo for free, so there is no excuse why it doesn’t end up on your hot stepmoms iPod or your grandmothers HiFi at her nursing home.
