Descending are a band fron Greece that plays a mixture of melodic death metal and thrash and this is a review of their 2011 album "New Death Celebrity" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffing that mixes melodic death metal with thrash, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are melodic death metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are a mixture of deep death metal growls, high pitched screams and clean singing vocals, while the lyrics cover Horror, Death and Violence, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful heavy and professional feeling to it.
In my opinion Descending are a very good sounding hybrid of melodic death metal and thrash and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band.
