Garoted are a band from Nebraska that plays a very brutal form of death metal with a blackened edge and this is a review of their self released 2010 album "Praise Murder, Praise Hate, Praise The Devil.
Drums alternate between midpaced to fast drumming with alot of brutal blast beats, while the bass playing has a very powerful tone which is very easy to hear at times with some heavy riffing.
Rhythm guitars alternate between midpaced to fast brutal death metal riffs that have a black metal edge to them at times, while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding death metal guitar solos.
Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls with some high pitched screams being thrown in at times, while the lyrics cover santhropy, Death, Creatures, Occultism and Anti Christianity, as for the production it has a very heavy and raw feel to it, but still retains a professional quality with all of the musical instruments having a brutal sound.
